Poldark: Season 3

 By Erica

We are excited that Season 3 of BBC1's Poldark is returning on June 11. Poldark, based on Winston Graham's novels, is about a soldier who returns to Cornwall in the 1780's after fighting in America, only to find his father dead, his estate in tatters and his woman who thought he was dead about to marry another.

Poldark is not for everyone. It is dark and moody, all about the olden days, with brutality and class distinctions and more. A soap opera to be sure. But a very classy one. The Cornwall scenery is gorgeous, the romance with the miner's daughter Demelza sizzles, the story line twists and turns in ways believable and not, and when Aiden Turner dons his britches and sheds his shirt, well......steamy is one word that comes to mind.

For us, it's great for binging. Enjoy.
