Valentine's Day Calls for Cake.

Valentine’s Day is coming up.

Do you have a honey? Do you want to celebrate Valentine’s Day? Here’s a plan. Make a red velvet heart cake.

Red velvet cake is perfect, of course—because it is red. Here’s a recipe. Obviously you can make the frosting pink instead of white, or put red sprinkles all over it, or put a golden arrow through it, or otherwise have fun.

And while you are at it, make it a heart cake. Bake one round layer, and one square layer. Slice the round layer in half, and put the semicircles against two sides of the square. Ice everything so it looks like you cleverly baked a heart cake.

Your honey will be sooooo impressed.
