Lustre Is Going Coast To Coast With "Visible and Vital" On Revel!

By Karen and Erica

We are so excited to announce that we have formed a collaboration with a cutting edge new platform: Revel.

Revel is a women-founded company devoted to connecting the 58.75 million women in this country aged 50 and over so they can communicate about anything and everything that matters to them.

Our culture focuses on the losses that come with aging, but good things happen too. We are more patient, compassionate, less judgmental, and accept ourselves to a degree we couldn’t in our youth. While our physical beauty fades, we compensate by finding strength and courage that wasn’t there before. We’re no longer competing, we’re collaborating. In acknowledging that our need for connection is mutual, we Revelers create a welcoming environment where we can share our joys, fears, concerns, and common spirit.

With Revel, we are creating Visible & Vital: a six-part series bridging generations and geography. We will be having candid conversations with compelling women who are tackling big issues that impact us all. These discussions will unite women across all ages and stages and coasts who want to reimagine and redefine the next phase of their lives.

Our first talk on Visible & Vital airs on Thursday, March 18, at 3 pm EDT, noon PDT. We will speak with Stacey Rosen, a doctor revolutionizing women’s health. More about Dr. Rosen below. In later segments, we will be featuring a marine biologist who invented a remarkable, ocean-crossing, career; a major designer who understands what we want from our clothes; a banker/entrepreneur who pivots every few years; and more.

Stacey Rosen is the Senior Vice President for Northwell’s Katz Institute for Women’s Health. She is a leading expert in the field of cardiovascular disease in women, and oversees the development and coordination of a comprehensive and integrated approach to women’s health services. Her mission is to focus on eliminating sex-based health care disparities through comprehensive clinical programs, gender-based research, community partnerships and education. She has been a practicing cardiologist for over 30 years. And she is passionate about one fundamental truth: that women are women, not little men.

Please join us as we inaugurate this new venture. We think you will love Revel, and will be invigorated by what Dr. Rosen has to say about women’s health.
