Red Is Having A Moment.

Id you see Doja Cat at a recent Schiparelli show? No, we weren’t there either but we saw the pictures. Top to toe red crystals. Apparently took quite a few hours to achieve.

Then there was Rihanna at the Superbowl. A red bra, perhaps vinyl, and a puffy red jacket, ending with an enormous puffy red coat. Perhaps a tribute to Andre Leon Talley. In any event, very red.

(Apparently red was big at last year’s Oscars but not red like this year’s red!)

We love red, and if it is having a moment we want to join in. We can’t carry off any of these iconic looks—and we don’t know anyone who wants to dress us for hours. But there are plenty of cool red possibilities we could manage for ourselves.

Let’s start with red shoes. The RealReal has a lot of them. High heels, flats, and a few in the middle.

Moving up, how about a maxi dress for full red coverage? St. Laurent is a master of the fabulous dress is a master of the fabulous dress, but even on sale this one is a bit pricey. And formal. Maybe Ebay? Here’s an elegant short dress. And here’s a nice shirt dress.

If not a dress, check out this excellent Kate Spade polka-dotted skirt. Or this pleated number.

We’ve also been thinking about palazzo pants. (This could be a hideous mistake for people of our size, but somehow we think red palazzo pants wold be extremely stupendous. In a good way.) Tahari’s are fun. Lafayette 148’s are refined palazzo, gorgeous, and on sale.

It’s still cold, so maybe a sweater? La Ligne’s looks toasty. And how about a long line open blazer?

Maybe some psychedelic Baccarat earrings? An artistic red coral necklace?

We love these red RetroSuperFuture readers!

If all else fails, wear whatever you have with bright red tights, or bright red lipstick. That flash of color will make you, and everyone around you, feel happy!
