Julie Saul. A Trailblazer and A Friend.

By Karen and Erica

Karen met Julie Saul over thirty years ago, when she was an up and coming young gallerist, particularly focused on photography, making her way as one of the few women in that part of the New York art scene.

Julie became a good friend to Lustre. She hugely supported what we were doing, and was good enough to allow us to interview her on a podcast. She was learned and elegant and energetic and hopeful. Julie was a fierce and generous advocate, and loyal friend. A native of Tampa, she loved New York City as much as we did.

We will miss her dearly.
